“A rabbit!” called Bunny, “Look there, past the tree!”
The friends on their backs turned their noggins to see.

“Ah yes,” Cubby said gazing up at the sky.
“Those ears make it perfect. Well done! Good eye!”

Then Ducky said, “Hey! Look at that cloud right there!
It looks like a duck… only smallish… and square…”

The friends became puzzled looking up at the blue.
“Oh Ducky, don’t worry. You’ll find something soon.”

But as time went on, it seemed everyone found
A cloud shaped just like them while they lay on the ground,

Except for poor Ducky, and soon they grew worried.
Perhaps there’d be no duck-shaped clouds in a hurry?

But just as they almost gave up with their stares,
Dear Ducky said, “Ha! Ha! Eureka! Look there!”

The friends looked with doubt at a little cloud bump.
“Yes. That is a duck egg! All happy and plump!”

With grins they all shouted, “Good job!” and “Hooray!”
With Ducky’s idea to find a new way,
Their cloud searching time made the most perfect day.
